Enjoy long summer days outside with the children playing freely in the treehouse as you settle down with a coffee and a good book.
Outside space is often a key consideration when buying a family home. Somewhere for the children to run and play freely, and this property has that in spades.
Park on the large gravel parking area to the front of the property - there is enough space for at least 4 cars - and make your way to the side of the property where you will find the main entrance.
Come on in...
As the door opens slowly, you will reveal the oak wood flooring that continues throughout the ground floor, treated to give a light finish for a contemporary feel.
A useful utility room keeps all the noise from the washing machine away from the living space. There is also a cloakroom, ideal for spending those last-minute pennies before you head out for the day.
Heart of the home…
The kitchen, where most of the family's time is spent, has newly fitted shaker-style units in a soft duck egg with a clean white stone worktop. A calming colour scheme with plenty of space and appliances for you to rustle up a gourmet meal. Serve dinner in the dining area, a lovely room perfect for quick family mid-week dinners or formal dinner parties.
In the warmer weather, open the bi-fold doors, and the outdoor space becomes an extension of the kitchen with an adjustable gazebo offering a covered dining area and comfortable outdoor seating space. Imagine enjoying an ice-cold drink with friends or a moment of peace with your morning coffee as you listen to the birds. Add plump cushions and a large parasol to keep you out of the sun.
The children have loved the gardens. They spend so much time outdoors.
Flexibility...
The ground floor has two reception rooms. A cosy grown-up living room with a warming fireplace is the perfect spot to curl up on the sofa for a lazy evening in front of the tv. And a family room that's currently used as a games room for the children. There are no arguments over what to watch on the TV, and they can play computer games in their living room, keeping your lounge separate.
Currently, set up as a reception rooms, but you could easily have a 4th bedroom if you needed it, or maybe even a home office or gym?
Off to bed...
And when it's time for bed, you make your way up the stairs to the master bedroom. A delightful room with a high vaulted ceiling, exposed roof trusses, and an entire wall devoted to fitted wardrobes. Open the shutters and gaze across the garden to the fields and countryside beyond. Complete with a private en suite shower room to get ready in peace in the morning.
There are two further bedrooms, equally spacious, so there will be no fights over who gets the better room.
And finally, the house bathroom. A real oasis of calm, the bathroom provides a luxurious haven of tranquillity. Close the door and enjoy a long soak in a bubble bath - perhaps even a glass of champagne?
Garden parties and al fresco dining…
Primrose Cottage garden has provided endless memories for the sellers. The substantial lawn has been host to family parties, children's football matches and even a bonfire and fireworks display. A treehouse, complete with a slide and fireman's pole and a commercial-grade swing set, means getting the kids off their computer games and outside for fresh air.
The boys have loved riding on tractors around the gardens and have spent many hours in the treehouse.
Extensive lawns stretch down to trees and shrubs. A treehouse is hidden away, and a swing is set for the children to while away long afternoons. With this much outdoor space, BBQs with family and friends are always great fun. Let the children run and play whilst the grown-ups enjoy a few drinks and a catch-up in the sun. There will often be a football game between the guests by the end of the day.
This has been a wonderful home for our family. The school is amazing, and the beautiful garden has given us endless hours of fun and many happy memories.
