Upcoming Webinar: Making Tax Digital
Thursday, March 19 2026, 6:00 PM
From April 2026, Making Tax Digital (MTD) will introduce new reporting requirements for landlords with qualifying income over £50,000, replacing the traditional annual Self Assessment with digital record-keeping and quarterly online submissions.
Join Currans’ lettings team alongside Ryan Alderson, Head of Cloud Advisory at DJH, for a practical webinar explaining what these changes mean for landlords in the real world.
During the session, we’ll cover:
• What Making Tax Digital is and why the rules are changing
• Who the new requirements apply to and key deadlines to be aware of
• How MTD works in practice, including quarterly reporting
• Common landlord scenarios such as jointly owned properties, multiple properties and foreign rental income
• What happens if mistakes are made, and how penalties may apply
• Software options available to landlords, including tools like Xero, FreeAgent and Hammock
• The four key steps landlords should take now to prepare for the changes
This session will help landlords understand the upcoming changes clearly and feel confident about what to do next. It’s part of our wider Landlord Events programme, where we run regular sessions to help landlords stay informed, compliant and ahead of legislative changes.
